I have found especially in times of strife, how we communicate is so important. As we all struggle through a time of physical, social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I found that leaning on my art has helped me get through a lot of feelings of uncertainty. Normally I depend on my camera and interacting with others, but now I turned to writing to express and connect with those around me. The poems I created deal with the feeling of isolation and the uncertainty of how long this time will last.
